v0.23.0: Pop calls out into a floating window
A call used to take over the whole WarmDesk window. That’s fine for a quick chat, but not when you want to look at a board or a ticket while you talk about it. v0.23.0 fixes that.
A floating call window
Both the 1:1 WebRTC video call and the LiveKit group call grid now have a pop-out button (arrows pointing inward) in the call’s control bar. Click it and the call shrinks into a small floating window on top of the app, and you can keep working behind it.
Drag the window by its top edge to move it.
Drag the bottom-right corner to resize it.
Both handles also work from the keyboard: focus one and use the arrow keys, with Shift for bigger steps.
Click the same button again (now arrows pointing outward) to go back to full screen.
WarmDesk remembers the window’s position and size for next time. More about calls is in the User Guide.
A new-message alert that says what it’s about
v0.21.1 made the browser tab blink "New message!" when something arrived while you were away. It didn’t say which conversation, and when you came back to the tab the blinking just turned into an equally vague "●".
The tab title now says what’s waiting:
New message from {name} for a direct message
New message in {project} for a project chat
New messages (N) when several are waiting
What v0.23.1 fixes
Nothing changes for users in v0.23.1. It fixes the CI builds for the server and the Linux client, which broke because frontend/package-lock.json had been removed from git by mistake during an earlier cleanup. The lockfile is back, and the builds work again.
