v0.36.0: What's in Other?

The chart on the time-tracking Report tab shows the ten activities you spent the most time on, and adds everything else together as Other. Ten colours is about as many as you can still tell apart, so that limit stays. But with a lot of different activities, Other easily becomes the biggest slice of all, and until now there was no way to see what was in it. v0.36.0 fixes that in two ways.

Click Other

Click the Other slice or bar, or the Show the N activities in "Other" button below the chart, and the chart shows the next ten activities, again with an Other for whatever remains. Keep clicking until everything has been shown; a line below the chart tells you where you are, like Activities 11–20 of 35, and Back takes you up a level again.

This works for the bar, pie, and stacked bar charts. Changing the report, chart type, or time basis starts at the top again. The PDF export shows the top level, as before.

Every activity in a table

Below the chart there’s now a table with every activity, most time first: its customers, its time, and its share of the total. A coloured square shows the activity’s colour in the chart as it’s shown now, and activities that are part of Other are marked as such. So even without clicking, you can see at a glance what Other is made of.
