v0.39.0: a tidier Admin Panel
v0.38.0 added a lot to the Admin Panel: SLA calendars, a service catalogue, change management, CMDB types. With seventeen tabs in a row, the tab bar ran off the page. This release tidies that up and adds two smaller things people asked for.
A grouped admin menu
The row of tabs is gone. The Admin Panel now has a menu on the left, grouped into People & access, Customers & billing, Work, Helpdesk, Change & configuration, and System. The former Helpdesk tab is now called Ticket settings, in the Helpdesk group alongside SLA policies, business hours, macros, checklists, and the service catalogue.
Every section has its own address, such as /admin/helpdesk/sla-policies. You can bookmark it or send it to a colleague, the browser’s back button works, and the breadcrumb shows where you are. Fold away the groups you don’t use by clicking their heading. On a phone the menu becomes a single dropdown.
Need more room for the menu, or for the page? Drag the divider between the two. You can also focus it and use the arrow keys, and double-click resets it. The width is remembered in your browser.
Holidays for business hours
SLA deadlines can count in business hours, which should skip public holidays. Business-hours calendars now have the same Add holidays country menu as the time-tracking week view: pick a year and a country, and its public holidays are added to the calendar. Dates that are already on the list are skipped, and nothing is stored until you click Save, so it also works while you’re still setting up a new calendar.
Entries per group
Each group header in the time-tracking report now shows how many entries are in the group, next to its total:
Week 41 (Oct 5–Oct 11) Entries: 33 45:30
The PDF and Excel exports show the same count, in the export’s language.
The demo data (warmdesk-seed) also gained three business-hours calendars, two with Dutch public holidays.
