v0.40.0: a ticket-system-only mode

WarmDesk has long had a timetracking mode for servers that only do time reporting. This release adds the same for the other half: a server that is only a ticket system.

One flag

Start the server with --mode=ticketsystem, set APP_MODE=ticketsystem, or put app_mode: "ticketsystem" in warmdesk.yaml. Boards, chat, and time tracking are switched off, along with their menus and admin sections. Customers, tickets, the knowledge base, the service catalogue, changes, the CMDB, incoming mail, and the SLA scheduler keep working. After login you land on your tickets, and the browser tab reads "WarmDesk - Ticket System".

Its own look

A ticket on a desk, in the same style as the time-tracking clock, replaces the WarmDesk logo in the web interface and in the header of exported PDFs. The login page shows a "Ticket system only" badge, in all 12 languages. A test instance (instance_mode: test) gets an orange version with the "TEST" ribbon.

The desktop app gets a matching tray icon, with the unread badge, and the .deb and .rpm packages install WarmDesk Ticket System and WarmDesk Ticket System (Test) launchers.

See the Admin Guide for details.
